Louanne Piccolo has been writing professionally for 13 years, focusing on family, health, teaching, education, translation and travel. Other than Suite 101, she also writes for Type A Mom, Bright Hub and on her personal blog Teaching English Lesson Plans.

After gaining her degree and post-graduate degree in English, psychology and teaching in South Africa she travelled extensively around the world before settling down in France where she now lives. Her articles have appeared in newspapers, magazines, and on several websites. She is a freelance English teacher working face to face and online, French/English translator and TEFL/TEYL teacher trainer.

She is currently the course co-ordinator and teacher trainer for the TEYL France Certificate Course in teaching English to young learners.
